Borough Market

Went to the foodie heaven that is Borough Market near London Bridge at the weekend.

It's a massive Aladdin's cave of delicatessens and patisseries, fresh meat and fish, fruit and veg stalls and street food stands. The smell of sizzling sausages and melting cheeses make you hungry as you go around looking at all that glorious food.

The best thing is tasting all the samples!

Handmade chilli sauces, home grown fruits, specialist oils, vinegars, fresh pasta, Spanish cured meats, Turkish sweets, French feel like you've gone on a whistle stop tour of British and Continental produce.

With all that people and food, the hustle bustle of the market is a gold mine for photographers too. And it's so close to the Thames, you can go for a stroll and a coffee by the river afterwards.

I can't recommend it enough. Maybe don't go if you're on a diet, and bring a tote bag.
